A short walk through the forest from the Hotel takes you to the beach that gives us our name.
Aguilar Beach is surrounded by cliffs and woods where we will find numerous carved rocks. The most striking and emblematic of them all is the Peña del Castaballar, which is a natural statue that emerges from the centre of the beach.
This beach has an unequalled quality. Its waters are clear, clean and crystalline; the sand has a pleasant, soft touch and its services are really complete. All this has earned it the prestigious recognition of the Blue Flag of the European Community.
Its services also include one of the most important leisure areas of the entire Asturian coast, as it has a high level of facilities and a very varied and complete range of restaurants and bars.
Aguilar Beach is perfect for all kinds of water sports such as snorkelling, diving, windsurfing, surfing and paddle surfing. On the beach you can rent boards and take beginners’ courses. It is also an i deal place for fishing, where anglers come in search of sea bass, mullet, black sea bream and turbot, among many other fish.
On the other hand, the whole area also has one of the most beautiful walks in the Cantabrian Sea. This is known as the Senda de los Miradores (Viewpoint Trail). This is a five-kilometre route along which we can enjoy numerous viewpoints such as Los Glayos, El Miradoiro and Alto Las Llanas, among others, from which we can see incredible landscapes.
In addition, on the route we will also find numerous springs, small streams, beautiful cliffs and very green and leafy forests. The route ends at the Espíritu Santo hermitage, where you will find the last of the beautiful viewpoints on this path.
